Soul Ranks

What is a Soul Rank?

Soul Ranks are the "level" of your Soul. Each time you Soul Rank Up, that is increase your Soul Rank, you will gain new bonuses. These bonuses help your characters in various ways, such as increase your stats or revival chance, and give you access to new abilities, like Forge and Class Change. Your Soul Rank is shared by all characters on that Soul.

Note: Your Soul Rank is permanently saved to your Soul Name. Deleting a character, or a character being lost to permadeath, will not reset your Soul Rank. Only deleting the Soul itself will erase the Soul Rank of that Soul.

Increasing your Soul Rank:

A specific number of Soul Points, specified on the Soul tab of your Character window, are needed to increase your Soul Rank. Soul Points, or SP, are accumulated by doing quests and killing mobs just like EXP but at a significantly lower rate. (1 SP per 100 EXP, to be exact.)

For example: If you turn in a quest for 500 EXP, you will gain 5 Soul Points.

If you kill a mob and gain 300 EXP you will gain 3 Soul Points.

Note: In my experience, Soul Points are only gained based individual EXP totals.
Meaning:
If you kill a mob and gain 575 EXP, you will gain 5 Soul Points but the leftover 75 EXP is just extra EXP and is not accumulated for more Soul Points. The same is true for quest EXP rewards.

Once you have gained enough Soul Points, increasing your Soul Rank is very easy. Simply, go to Calarde (Maiden of Isic) in the Temple, ask her to increase your Soul Rank, and voilĂ  you have increased your Soul Rank.

How many Soul Points do you need to increase your Soul Rank?
